Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

I’m not in the space industry, will this work for me?

Absolutely! PIMS and Progress are battle-tested on projects focused on operations in extreme environments. That means they can handle your project as well. Easy to use, customizable modules will get your project quickly moving forward.

Can non-technical users benefit from PIMS and Progress?

PIMS and Progress are easy to use, intuitive, and customizable. They were “designed by engineers for engineers” but still are accessible for even the most non-technical manager or user.

Can I manage multiple projects at once?

Manage as many as you want :). PIMS and Progress have a battle-tested history managing hundreds of projects for NASA and ESA. Customization functions make it easy to align the software with your project needs.

How hard is it to train my team?

PIMS and Progress use familiar, easy to use menus and interfaces. Like any software, there is introductory learning required. We provide training, simple tutorials, online help functions, and intuitive interfaces to get your team working faster. Additional “near-super-user” power can be granted to key team members, so they can serve as local experts to the rest of your team.

Are PIMS and Progress expensive?

PIMS and Progress are competitively priced with their respective domains. When producing high-quality, mission-critical products, the real expense lies in lost time, lost productivity, unacceptable risk, and even mission failure. PIMS and Progress are specifically designed and battle-tested for these domains – designing and operating products that operate in extreme environments.

What about security? We do sensitive government contracts.

We’ve been doing highly secure, specialized projects for decades, and can off secure cloud-hosting. For onsite hosting, we can provide advice but it’s up to you to make sure you deploy PIMS and Progress in appropriately secure environments based on your project needs.
